Yoga Therapy Training opens up an exciting new career pathway for yoga teachers and teacher trainees. Generally working one-to-one in private consultations, yoga therapists assist people with injuries, illnesses and health concerns, by developing and teaching students a suitable individually tailored therapeutic yoga practice.
Such practices can bring about powerful positive change, and are both personally and professionally rewarding for you as a yoga therapist. Yoga therapists work closely with the student or client to support and facilitate their healing and transformation that may not be possible in a general class setting.
This course draws on the foundation teachings from T Krishnamacharya. Faculty of The Yoga Institute have completed yoga and yoga therapy studies with TKV Desikachar, the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram (KYM, India), AG & Indra Mohan and Ganesh Mohan of Svastha Yoga.
Graduate Yoga Therapy Training:
Completion of all modules and course components provides a 650 hour post-graduate course, conducted over 2 years (2017 intake, completion 2018)
Fully accredited with Yoga Australia (YA) and the Australian Association of Yoga Therapists (AAYT)
Provides eligibility to become a fully registered yoga therapist
Complying with the highest international standards (IAYT)
