    What are the Chakras?

Dive into an exploration of the chakras from an evolutionary perspective. Consider the chakras from the intriguing views of Shri Aurobindo’s (that Prakrti is the motor behind the 2 billion years of evolution of life on earth) and Paul MacLean (the Triune Brain Theory), to an in-depth study of the chakras as the motor behind our past evolutionary journey.

    We'll examine
the reptilian (base chakra), mammalian (sacral chakra) and primate (navel chakra) brain circuitry, followed by considering how future chakra activation may result in expanding our sense-of-self to include love for all humanity (heart chakra); recognizing all matter as the crystallized body of the Divine (throat chakra); experiencing the cosmic intelligence behind all creation (third-eye cakra); and finally, realizing ourselves as infinite consciousness (crown chakra).

Yoga Vasistha: Non Duality in Daily Life

In this short course Josh moves through a lecture exploring the concept of non-duality with reference to the important yogic text Yoga Vasistha.

Yoga is both a state and a means to that state. According to the Yoga Vasistha, yoga is nonduality, and this state can be attained while living a human life of duality. By assuming the state of nonduality as best as one can in any moment, actions performed are of greater import and fairness to the world. When actions are taken in this manner, the normal operation of karma is suspended and the yogi is freed from illusion in this life, and liberated from the cycle of compulsory death and rebirth.
