11150NAT Diploma of Yoga Teaching – Sydney Campus

The Diploma of Yoga Teaching allows students to expand on the skills and knowledge learned in the 11149NAT or equivalent Certificate IV in Yoga Teaching towards becoming a Specialist Yoga Teacher. Students will deepen their knowledge and skills with advanced subjects of Yoga, meditation and philosophy. Students will learn the principles of Yoga Therapy and how to deal with students/clients who have special needs and chronic conditions. Students will also undertake learning on Yoga for the stages of life including yoga for pregnancy, children’s yoga and yoga for the elderly.
The Diploma of Yoga Teaching course will prepare students to:
-Develop courses and programs utilising advanced Yoga techniques
-Conduct Yoga lifestyle and nutritional assessments
-Adapt yoga for different life stages including pregnancy, children and the elderly. Conduct Yoga classes for students with chronic conditions or special needs
-Undertake research in yoga projects
-Apply Yoga philosophy concepts in yoga classes, workshops and retreats.
-Deliver first aid.
