- deepen their knowledge and understanding of Yoga as a practice, philosophy and a way of life,
- learn the skills to prepare and teach integrated Yoga to groups and individuals for general heath and wellness needs and goals,
- build a foundation for further studies in Yoga.
This course offers 500 hours of immersive study comprising 350 hours direct contact and 150 hours of indirect and application-based learning over 2 years.
Throughout the teacher training program, students will be fully supported in the process through a student-mentor relationship. This element of the program reflects the ancient style of teaching Yoga in which each student was taught on a one-to-one basis. The student-mentor relationship is an important part of the teacher training process and allows the trainers to ensure the curriculum is meeting the needs and abilities of the student.
This teacher training program is registered by the peak body Yoga Australia. Graduate teachers will be eligible to register as a Level 2 Teacher once appropriate teaching experience has been accrued.
