Glenda Gooding who has been training successful yoga teachers for over 25 years is teaching a 12 month part-time registered course in Yoga Teaching which results in a registered Diploma with Yoga Australia.
The Surya Yoga and Meditation Studio specialises in teaching small groups where teachers are trained to a high standard with all the practical, theoretical skills and knowledge that will enable you to be ready to teach at the conclusion of the course. A positive and deep personal journey will also have transpired, enhancing participants’ personal confidence and well being supporting student’s ability to undertake their own yoga teaching career and life path.
Course Duration: 12 months
Total Hours 350 total hours
Face to Face Hourse: 280
Attendance: 40 Fridays or Sunday morn & Mon night (within school terms as far as possible) 9.30am to 3pm Friday or 3 hours Sunday morning and 2 hours Monday night

- Class planning
- Meditation
- Pranayama, bandhas, mudras
- Mantra
- Yoga nidra or relaxation
- study of yoga texts
- Yoga philosophy
- Yoga for those with injuries
- Ethics.
In addition your postures will be refined and aligned, and you will have established your own personal practice. Instruction on the course is positive and supportive.
