SUMMARY:Find Balance through Sound (self paced)
DESCRIPTION:Self Paced event. Find a deeper connection to stillness and life through the yoga of sound. Chanting is known to: Increase breath control\n\nInfluence heart rate\n\nLower blood pressure\n\nEase muscle tension\n\nImprove digestion\n\nReduce pain and assist healing\n\nActivate different part of the brain\n\nStimulate learning and memory\n\nHelp us focus on positive words and phrases\, involving gratitude and peace\n\nUnite people and enhance a sense of connection with others\n\nHelp prepare for pranayama\, meditation or prayer\n\nMay reduce snoring by toning the muscles of the throatThrough practice\, we draw senses inward to quiet the mind. In this stillness\, we can experience more subtle aspects of being that resides beyond the mind; a oneness and wholeness with all of life and a sense of profound peace. Mantra is a reminder to treat our words as sacred\, creative and divine.   What we think and say\, we create.  Inspired by Deepak Chopra’s ‘Seven Spiritual Laws of Success’\, these 10-15 minute seated practices offer reflection\, self enquiry\, connection and stillness through mantra repetition (japa) and meditation.  There are 7 recordings in this series which run through my ‘Radiant Wellbeing’ APP so you can practice anywhere\, anytime.

SUMMARY:VEDIC CHANTING CLASSES
DESCRIPTION:Improve your memory and focus. –  Reduce mental agitation  –  Increase your breath capacity. –  Improve listening and communication skills –  Find and refine your own voice  –   Increase your self confidence. –  Strengthen you spiritual connection  –  Gain an overall sense of well-being!! \nVedic Chanting is yoga\, it is concentration\, meditation\, it is prāṇāyāma\, it is jñāna and it is bhakti. It is a commitment to learning something very deep. \nI am asked what the Vedas have to do with Yoga. Well\, the Vedas contain it\, the Vedas are themselves Yoga. That is what this is all about. \nThat said\, you don’t need anything to practice and learn. If you want to know something in you that will surprise you a lot\, this will surely interest you. It is not easy\, but it is enriching. It is not quick\, but it is one of the most beautiful things I have ever heard. \nChanting controls and transforms the Prāṇā\, it is a feeling of merging with the Universal vibration\, and it is rediscovering oneself anew in a practice very little known in the West. \nIn these classes you will learn how to pronounce Sanskrit\, you will learn the correct way to recite some Vedic mantras\, such as the popular Gāyatrī\, as it was taught in ancient times\, unchanged\, orally and following the rules of a South Indian lineage. \nYou don’t need to know how to sing\, or how to tune\,  in Vedic Chanting we only use 3 notes not 7 as in music \, this makes it accessible to everyone! \nChanting classes are conducted seated\, either on the floor or on a chair. It is important to feel comfortable so that you are able to focus only on the sound.  All chants will be taught through a “call and response” methodology\, using the aid of chant texts. The basic rules of Chanting\, along with general meanings of chants will be explained. \nThese classes are for you if you want to learn more about mantra practice. If you are a yoga teacher or student and you want to introduce Chanting in your classes or you want to work with mantras in your personal practice \nhttps://dendupratyoga.com/vedic-chant/ \n
