SUMMARY:VEDIC CHANTING CLASSES
DESCRIPTION:Improve your memory and focus. –  Reduce mental agitation  –  Increase your breath capacity. –  Improve listening and communication skills –  Find and refine your own voice  –   Increase your self confidence. –  Strengthen you spiritual connection  –  Gain an overall sense of well-being!! \nVedic Chanting is yoga\, it is concentration\, meditation\, it is prāṇāyāma\, it is jñāna and it is bhakti. It is a commitment to learning something very deep. \nI am asked what the Vedas have to do with Yoga. Well\, the Vedas contain it\, the Vedas are themselves Yoga. That is what this is all about. \nThat said\, you don’t need anything to practice and learn. If you want to know something in you that will surprise you a lot\, this will surely interest you. It is not easy\, but it is enriching. It is not quick\, but it is one of the most beautiful things I have ever heard. \nChanting controls and transforms the Prāṇā\, it is a feeling of merging with the Universal vibration\, and it is rediscovering oneself anew in a practice very little known in the West. \nIn these classes you will learn how to pronounce Sanskrit\, you will learn the correct way to recite some Vedic mantras\, such as the popular Gāyatrī\, as it was taught in ancient times\, unchanged\, orally and following the rules of a South Indian lineage. \nYou don’t need to know how to sing\, or how to tune\,  in Vedic Chanting we only use 3 notes not 7 as in music \, this makes it accessible to everyone! \nChanting classes are conducted seated\, either on the floor or on a chair. It is important to feel comfortable so that you are able to focus only on the sound.  All chants will be taught through a “call and response” methodology\, using the aid of chant texts. The basic rules of Chanting\, along with general meanings of chants will be explained. \nThese classes are for you if you want to learn more about mantra practice. If you are a yoga teacher or student and you want to introduce Chanting in your classes or you want to work with mantras in your personal practice \nhttps://dendupratyoga.com/vedic-chant/ \n

SUMMARY:Parent and Child Yoga at Yogita Yoga
DESCRIPTION:Are you looking for something to do with your child that is fun and relaxing both at the same time?\nJoin Antje from Flow and Grow Family Yoga at Yogita Yoga studio in Highgate for an afternoon of joyful connection with your little one!\n \nAntje’s family yoga sessions are neither adult yoga with kids\, nor kids’ yoga with adults. Instead\, classes are designed specifically to deepen the connection between you and your child.\n \nWe will be weaving together elements of play and storytelling\, asana (yoga postures) and mindfulness practices\, relaxation techniques\, a dash of acro yoga\, and each participant’s own creative spirit. \nAlong the way\, we’ll release stress and anxiety\, connect with our (inner) child\, and strengthen body and mind. \nNo previous yoga experience is required! \nTwo session times on offer: \n\nSession 1 at 2pm for parents and children aged 3-5 years\nSession 2 at 3.15pm for parents and children aged 6-12 years\n\nTESTIMONIALS \n“My 4.5 year old and I had a ball at Antje’s family yoga class. It was fun\, creative\, energising\, and calming all at the same time. Most of all it was a wonderful opportunity for one-on-one connection\, especially important now that my child has a younger sibling. Thank you for the beautiful class\, we’re both looking forward to coming back soon!” (Lara\, mother of two)\n \n“My 8 year old daughter and I have absolutely loved each and every aspect of Antje’s parents and kids yoga sessions. Each class we’ve attended has had a different theme which has captured my daughter’s imagination and sense of fun but what I have loved most is the chance to share yoga with my child\, connect without outside pressures and look into each other’s eyes as we play\, move\, dance and rest! Antje is a warm\, grounded\, calm and professional yogi with a true gift for teaching and holding space for families.” (Emmy\, mother of two)\n \n“I brought my daughter here for a parent/child yoga class and it was a really lovely experience. Antje was a wonderful instructor with thoughtful and intentional components for both the children and the adults. We loved it!” (Linly)\n \n“I’ve done a few different family yoga classes and Antje’s recent class in Aldinga\, SA\, has been my favourite by far. She has such a lovely presence\, and I love her emphasis on connection. I actually became a bit emotional in the final cuddle part of the session – it really emphasised for me how much we don’t make time to just BE with our kids enough\, especially 1:1. My 5yo LOVED it\, and we both look forward to more classes!“ (Nicole\, mother of three) \n“I had the best time and the parent child yoga with Antje. Some special time with just my older daughter. Antje creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere and really knows how to involve children. We had fun\, we stretched\, played and relaxed. I would highly recommend her classes if you are looking for a class that incorporates both the parent and the child. We will definitely be back! Thank you!” (Corinna\, mother of two)\n \nPlease note: \nAs the focus is on one-on-one connection\, a one child/one grown-up policy applies. If you’re interested in a Family Yoga for All session\, please consider joining my mailing list to stay in the loop for upcoming sessions the whole family can attend. \nPrice is per adult-child couple (=2 people).

SUMMARY:The Healing Voice & Rest with the Harp
DESCRIPTION:Join singer\, harp therapist and yoga teacher Vasudha Harte in a healing sound journey. \nWe create our own “sonic tonic” and enjoy exploring the power of our unique voice using the syllables Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Da Ni Sa. \nNada (sound) yogis have used these sounds through the ages to vocalise the notes of a raga. \nWe will then chant simple yet powerful mantras and healing medicine songs to open our hearts and uplift our spirits (a mini kirtan!) \nMeditative chanting can have a calming\, reparative affect\, helping to focus the mind\, expand the breath and create restorative resonance in the body. \nOur journey of the therapeutic power of sound concludes with “Rest with the Harp\,” a unique opportunity to allow the magical tones of live harp music to help soothe and balance the nervous system and enable the body to deeply rest. \nBring all the props you need in order to be comfortable and warm. \n“If you have been to one of Vasudha’s yoga classes you will already know the powerful healing in her voice and the beautiful way she creates peace within the space as well as your body and mind.”  Amy Mindful AF Emerald \n\n\n  \nMulti instrumentalist and vocalist Vasudha Harte is a harp therapist\, music therapist\, music teacher\, sound healing facilitator and yoga teacher who has explored the healing power of yoga\, music\, sound and silence for over 30 years. Her extensive yoga teacher training includes Nada Yoga School Rishikesh\, YogaSynergy Australia and Judith Hansen Lasater. \nShe has shared her expertise in Sound Healing and Restful yoga for many years in various beautiful locations\, including world renowned Gaia Retreat and Spa Byron Bay and currently at Rest and Restore Retreat Yarra Valley. @musicandyogainspiration www.vasudhaharte.com ph 0451944051 vasudha.harte@gmail.com

SUMMARY:The Science of Self-Realisation & Liberation
DESCRIPTION:Liberation\, a concept deeply rooted in various cultures and religions\, refers to the release or freedom from limitations—whether physical\, mental\, or spiritual. Often associated with self-realisation\, enlightenment\, and transcendence\, liberation in a spiritual context typically means breaking free from the cycle of birth\, death\, and rebirth\, known as samsara. Achieving this state is frequently pursued through higher-level spiritual practices such as meditation\, yoga\, and prayer. \nLiberation involves transcending the constraints of the ego\, allowing individuals to connect with their deeper spiritual essence and experience true freedom. Dr. Lisa Miller’s research on the awakened brain identifies five observable traits shared across religious and spiritual traditions: altruism\, love of one’s neighbour as oneself\, a sense of oneness\, the practice of sacred transcendence\, and adherence to a moral code. By consciously cultivating these traits\, individuals can strengthen their “muscle of transcendent awareness\,” leading to a more profound spiritual experience. Miller’s findings suggest that spirituality and religiosity are innate and heritable traits that can be nurtured through environmental influences over a person’s lifetime. \nJoin us as we explore the science of self-realisation and liberation\, delving into practices that elevate consciousness and connect us with the profound truth of our spiritual nature through meditation and mindful awareness. \nSource The Awakened Brain – Become One with the Rhythm of Life – The BioMedical Institute of Yoga & Meditation
