Join Antje from Flow and Grow Family Yoga for an afternoon of joyful connection with your little one!\nAntje’s family yoga sessions are neither adult yoga with kids\, nor kids’ yoga with adults. DESCRIPTION:Embodied Ritual ~ Astrology ~ Intention ~ Self enquiry ~ Celebration \nYou’re invited to join Delamay online in celebration of the Solstice\, a sacred juncture marking the longest and shortest day of the year! \nThe Solstice is a time of celebration\, renewal and new beginnings! \nDuring this sacred juncture\, the northern hemisphere is experiencing long bright warm days while being bathed in the illuminating light of the Sun (Summer Solstice). Simultaneously\, the southern hemisphere is experiencing shorter cooler days while being bathed in the fertile darkness of night time (Winter Solstice). \nThe word Solstice is derived from the Latin word sol (sun) and sistere (to stand still)\, during the solstice the Sun appears to stand still or pause at this peak before reversing direction\, taking us towards the time of equal day and night or the Equinox. \nAll around the world the Solstice is celebrated in different ways to symbolise new beginnings\, a celebration of harvest\, a time of letting go of the old to make space for the new\, it’s a powerful time to shed and say good bye to what is no longer serving or sustaining your life. This very obvious experience of the natural world in this peaking state of illuminating light and fertile darkness is a powerful time to plant seed intentions for the coming cycle\, to manifest your dreams and desires and to be open to transformations while trusting the unknown! \nAstroogically during this Solstice time the Sun moves into Cancer. The archetype of Cancer encourages self care and self love while taking care of your Heart fire. It’s a wonderful time to connect with the element of Water while cultivating strength and courage to put yourself first. \nRegardless of which hemisphere you’re in\, this gathering will honour both the peaking light and fertile darkness with astrology insights\, self enquiry and journalling plus a card reading before moving into our movement meditation and yoga practice. DESCRIPTION:“Power over others is weakness disguised as strength.” \n\n— Eckhart Tolle \nIn life\, many of us find ourselves caught in cycles of pain and suffering\, whether as the abuser or the abused\, in personal or professional relationships. We often feel powerless against these forces. Yet\, there is a way out of this delusion. Instead of directing blame outward\, we must turn inward\, acknowledging our own part in these dynamics. By recognising our mental projections reflected in our external world\, we can begin to refine and polish our inner reflection. This shift empowers us to reclaim our own power\, moving away from feelings of helplessness. Taking ownership of our behaviour can be daunting\, but it is also liberating\, as we realise our minds are the creators of all. As His Holiness Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche said\, “When someone harms you\, see them as a kind teacher\, showing you the path to liberation and meriting your respect.” Through compassion\, firm intention\, and self-awareness\, we learn that everything in life can be achieved with love and devotion\, without the need for force or control. DESCRIPTION:Improve your memory and focus. –  Reduce mental agitation  –  Increase your breath capacity. –  Improve listening and communication skills –  Find and refine your own voice  –   Increase your self confidence. –  Strengthen you spiritual connection  –  Gain an overall sense of well-being!! \nVedic Chanting is yoga\, it is concentration\, meditation\, it is prāṇāyāma\, it is jñāna and it is bhakti. It is a commitment to learning something very deep. \nI am asked what the Vedas have to do with Yoga. Well\, the Vedas contain it\, the Vedas are themselves Yoga. That is what this is all about. \nThat said\, you don’t need anything to practice and learn. If you want to know something in you that will surprise you a lot\, this will surely interest you. It is not easy\, but it is enriching. It is not quick\, but it is one of the most beautiful things I have ever heard. \nChanting controls and transforms the Prāṇā\, it is a feeling of merging with the Universal vibration\, and it is rediscovering oneself anew in a practice very little known in the West. \nIn these classes you will learn how to pronounce Sanskrit\, you will learn the correct way to recite some Vedic mantras\, such as the popular Gāyatrī\, as it was taught in ancient times\, unchanged\, orally and following the rules of a South Indian lineage. \nYou don’t need to know how to sing\, or how to tune\,  in Vedic Chanting we only use 3 notes not 7 as in music \, this makes it accessible to everyone! \nChanting classes are conducted seated\, either on the floor or on a chair. It is important to feel comfortable so that you are able to focus only on the sound.  All chants will be taught through a “call and response” methodology\, using the aid of chant texts. The basic rules of Chanting\, along with general meanings of chants will be explained. \nThese classes are for you if you want to learn more about mantra practice. It is a commitment to learning something very deep. \nI am asked what the Vedas have to do with Yoga. Well\, the Vedas contain it\, the Vedas are themselves Yoga. That is what this is all about. \nThat said\, you don’t need anything to practice and learn. If you want to know something in you that will surprise you a lot\, this will surely interest you. It is not easy\, but it is enriching. It is not quick\, but it is one of the most beautiful things I have ever heard. \nChanting controls and transforms the Prāṇā\, it is a feeling of merging with the Universal vibration\, and it is rediscovering oneself anew in a practice very little known in the West. \nIn these classes you will learn how to pronounce Sanskrit\, you will learn the correct way to recite some Vedic mantras\, such as the popular Gāyatrī\, as it was taught in ancient times\, unchanged\, orally and following the rules of a South Indian lineage. \nYou don’t need to know how to sing\, or how to tune\,  in Vedic Chanting we only use 3 notes not 7 as in music \, this makes it accessible to everyone! \nChanting classes are conducted seated\, either on the floor or on a chair. It is important to feel comfortable so that you are able to focus only on the sound.  All chants will be taught through a “call and response” methodology\, using the aid of chant texts. The basic rules of Chanting\, along with general meanings of chants will be explained. \nThese classes are for you if you want to learn more about mantra practice. It is a commitment to learning something very deep. \nI am asked what the Vedas have to do with Yoga. Well\, the Vedas contain it\, the Vedas are themselves Yoga. That is what this is all about. \nThat said\, you don’t need anything to practice and learn. If you want to know something in you that will surprise you a lot\, this will surely interest you. It is not easy\, but it is enriching. It is not quick\, but it is one of the most beautiful things I have ever heard. \nChanting controls and transforms the Prāṇā\, it is a feeling of merging with the Universal vibration\, and it is rediscovering oneself anew in a practice very little known in the West. \nIn these classes you will learn how to pronounce Sanskrit\, you will learn the correct way to recite some Vedic mantras\, such as the popular Gāyatrī\, as it was taught in ancient times\, unchanged\, orally and following the rules of a South Indian lineage. \nYou don’t need to know how to sing\, or how to tune\,  in Vedic Chanting we only use 3 notes not 7 as in music \, this makes it accessible to everyone! \nChanting classes are conducted seated\, either on the floor or on a chair. It is important to feel comfortable so that you are able to focus only on the sound.  All chants will be taught through a “call and response” methodology\, using the aid of chant texts.
