DESCRIPTION:If you are 18 years or over\, and fluent in English\, you are invited to participate in a 12-week online group chanting program. Everyone is welcome\, but we also encourage you to participate if you have a breathing difficulty (including asthma\, COPD\, long covid). \nThe program will include gentle movements and chanting for one hour per week (at 5pm on Tuesdays AEST starting in April 2024) for a period of 12-weeks. \nYou will be asked to complete some questionnaires before and after the program as well as before and after some of the program sessions. You will also be invited to a one-on-one online interview (15 minutes) following the program\, at a time that is convenient to you. \nThe entire study\, including the chanting sessions\, interview\, and questionnaires\, is expected to take approximately 13 hours and 15 minutes of your time over the period of 12-20 weeks. \nIf you have any questions or would like further information on this study\, please contact us at gperry@bond.edu.au

DESCRIPTION:In this interactive 90 minute workshop\, participants will explore some helpful key tips for teachingyoga to teenagers.Participants can come away from this workshop feeling confident in understanding how to: Engage teens during a yoga class.\n\nMeet the unique developmental requirements of this age group.\n\nConsider ways to include all of the limbs of yoga\, beyond the asanas (physical poses).There will be opportunities to workshop ideas as a group and ask questions. **This session will be recorded if you are unable to attend live** About the Presenter:Stacey Louise is one of Australia’s most experienced and inspirational Children’s Yoga Teachers. Prior to teaching Children’s Yoga in 2005\, she was teaching kid’s fitness classes; studying to be an early years primary school teacher\, and working on set on a children’s TV show at Network TEN. Working in children’s hospital wards for over 18 years\, Stacey founded the “Calm Fairies” hospital program\, where paediatric patients are guided through calming activities during their hospital stay. Using her experience in Children’s TV\, Stacey produced a series of kids yoga DVDs which sold all over Australia and features on Gaia TV. In 2021\, Peppa Pig invited Stacey to create a yoga class for the Peppa Pig You Tube channel.  Since 2012\, Stacey has been training Yoga Teachers to specialise in Children’s Yoga\, through her Registered Children’s Yoga Teacher Training School\, “Inspired Kids Yoga”. A high number of enquiries for the training came from professionals who work with children. This led to a series of workshops being created that included the best TOOLS of yoga\, without having to do an entire Yoga Teacher Training. These workshops were turned into online courses during COVID lockdown and released under her “Calm Fairies” brand. In 2022 & 2023\, Stacey has delivered over 80 workshops created specifically for kindy teachers in kindergartens around QLD. Stacey is passionate about sharing the practices that have helped her so much through her life and aims to make training as practical\, authentic\, down to earth and whole-hearted as possible. DESCRIPTION:Oneness – Oneness is experienced through many spiritual and religious practices and is part of the awakened brain experience. The experience of oneness occurs when we become one with the rhythm of life. Here\, the parietal lobes tend to show a reduction in blood flow as we experience oneness or unity. The parietal lobes are responsible for our sense of self in relation to the world. The parietal lobes have a significant reduction in blood flow as we experience oneness and loss of separate self. The parietal lobes are affected during prayer or spiritual practice\, which gives rise to a loss of self\, time and space\, opening the mind into states of samadhi. We become one with all. To have a deeper spiritual understanding is to realise that we are all one. Not only is this philosophically beneficial\, but the evidence here shows how it can be mentally and physically beneficial. Spirituality is not just an idea but a deeper alignment with our truest nature. \nWe will explore one-ness in its truest form with meditation practice and explorer the following self-enquiry questions to awaken human consciousness: \n\nWho is thinking\, seeing\, observing?\nDo we create our reality?\nDo our pain and our past create our present moment?\nIf we do not create our ultimate reality\, who does?\n\nLet us explore a level of enlightened consciousness….oneness with all.

Dr Chan teaches through spontaneous transmission\, sourced from his Awakening in Self-Realisation and Samadhi. \nDuring this experiential retreat\, you will learn to drop deep into your amazing mystery body through the movement of The Form Reality Practice. This profound practice is a dynamic conscious movement of pure Love of the innermost subtle body\, Anandamaya Kosha. It is the moving Interface of the Formless and Form\, Consciousness and Light\, the pure dance of Union of Shiva-Shakti\, merging dancing as One Bliss and Ecstasy\, the core of what we Truly Are. This is the essence in Awakening the Kundalini\, opening the central channel all the way up and out\, arising like a cobra filling up the sky and beyond. Your magic body is woven in the matrix of scintillating Light\, moving as a drop in the Ocean of Consciousness. Your light body is quivering to reveal that you also are the Oceanic Altar of the Beloved. \nThe Form consists of 5 parts. Each part is a leap in Conscious Awareness\, evolving towards Self-Realisation and beyond. You will learn Part 1 and Part 2 during the May 2024 retreat\, and Parts 1–5 in the September 2024 retreat. The Form is an intelligent evolving movement that begins from Part 1 and flows on from where you have arrived in the moment\, taking you into the next purification of Beingness. In each retreat\, we learn and practice from Part 1 onwards. The Form is not a technique. The following is an outline of each part: \nPart 1 – Opener\, the Way Shower\, breaking new ground for Heart-Mind communion. \nPart 2 – Initiating the energy centres (chakras)\, merging Consciousness and Light to flow as One Shiva-Shakti. \nPart 3 – Stepping into your Authority in birthing a new seed of Reality from Pure Potential. \nPart 4 – Activating the flowering of the 3 major centres of Awakening: the head\, the chest and the belly. \nPart 5 – Learning to be taken in embodying the Ascent of the most deep (Shakti power) and the descent of the most High (Shiva Consciousness). \nOur natural state of Beingness is pure innocence\, pure openness. We are all suffering from the dark unconscious parts of our unloved and unmet self\, clogging the chakras and central channel. Opening and freeing the chakras requires deep inner shadow work. Learning to consciously move our light body at Love frequency clears the blocks in the energy centres. This is learning to unconditionally fall in love with ourselves. SUMMARY:The Science and Art of Awakening Human Consciousness – Session Emptiness
DESCRIPTION:The concept of emptiness\, or shunyata\, in yoga and Buddhism is often associated with the realisation that energy is not bound to form\, and that there is a spaciousness or still point underneath all the chaos of the world. This emptiness is not a void\, but a zero point that connects everything and is the essence of all energy. Through deep personal exploration\, we can come to accept impermanence and the gift it brings\, leading to deep internal freedom and a truer understanding of love. We can let go of our attachment to the forms and manifestations of the people we love\, realising that they are still present in different forms\, and that nothing is truly lost or destroyed. The teachings of emptiness remind us of the interconnectedness of all things and offer a path to peace and acceptance in the face of loss and change. \nIn this session we shall explore the science of emptiness both inside and outside the body\, exploring the following line of enquiry: \n\nThe Spiritual Teachings of Emptiness or Shunyata\nThe science of black holes\nHow deep personal exploration and insight can lead to deep internal freedom\nThe acceptance of impermanence within our bodies\, even our breath\nHow impermanence is indeed a miracle\, not something to be feared or resisted\nBecause of the gift of impermanence\, anything is possible
