DESCRIPTION:In this interactive 90 minute workshop\, participants will explore some helpful key tips for teachingyoga to teenagers.Participants can come away from this workshop feeling confident in understanding how to: Engage teens during a yoga class.\n\nMeet the unique developmental requirements of this age group.\n\nConsider ways to include all of the limbs of yoga\, beyond the asanas (physical poses).There will be opportunities to workshop ideas as a group and ask questions. **This session will be recorded if you are unable to attend live** About the Presenter:Stacey Louise is one of Australia’s most experienced and inspirational Children’s Yoga Teachers. Prior to teaching Children’s Yoga in 2005\, she was teaching kid’s fitness classes; studying to be an early years primary school teacher\, and working on set on a children’s TV show at Network TEN. Working in children’s hospital wards for over 18 years\, Stacey founded the “Calm Fairies” hospital program\, where paediatric patients are guided through calming activities during their hospital stay. Using her experience in Children’s TV\, Stacey produced a series of kids yoga DVDs which sold all over Australia and features on Gaia TV. In 2021\, Peppa Pig invited Stacey to create a yoga class for the Peppa Pig You Tube channel.  Since 2012\, Stacey has been training Yoga Teachers to specialise in Children’s Yoga\, through her Registered Children’s Yoga Teacher Training School\, “Inspired Kids Yoga”. A high number of enquiries for the training came from professionals who work with children. This led to a series of workshops being created that included the best TOOLS of yoga\, without having to do an entire Yoga Teacher Training. These workshops were turned into online courses during COVID lockdown and released under her “Calm Fairies” brand. In 2022 & 2023\, Stacey has delivered over 80 workshops created specifically for kindy teachers in kindergartens around QLD. Stacey is passionate about sharing the practices that have helped her so much through her life and aims to make training as practical\, authentic\, down to earth and whole-hearted as possible. DESCRIPTION:Learn the essential keys to becoming a great teacher\, so you’ll teach more\, earn more and create a community of loved up customers. Ondine Savage has been a yoga teacher for 18-years\, runs her own studio and had other teachers working for her.  She has observed how teachers talk about money\, including what they charge for classes\, workshops and retreats\, and often it’s coming from a scarcity mindset. This event will help to unpack this a little more giving perspective around what it means to value your worth and how to charge appropriately for your services. About the PresenterI’m Ondine\, a lover of travel\, amazing food\, great books and of course yoga. I was born in New Zealand and started life as a classical musician\, graduating from the University of Auckland with a Bachelor of Music Performance degree. After dedicating years practicing in confined spaces\, I decided to lay down my flute\, pack up my bags and head over to the UK to spread my wings. I then devoted five years of full-time study at the Dharmâlaya Ashram in Granada\, Spain. I trained in orthodox and traditional disciplines such as Hatha Yoga\, Vyayam Yoga\, Vedic Dharma\, Ayurveda\, Meditation & Vedanta. Awakened Soul Yoga (formally known as Hatha Yoga Sydney)\, began when I returned to Australia after spending time learning yoga in Rishikesh\, Northern India. It began as a boutique yoga studio in Redfern in 2011\, and 13 years later is now an online yoga education sanctuary. I’ve been teaching for 18 years\, ten of which have been dedicated to facilitating stunning yoga retreats both nationally within Australia but also internationally in Bali\, Tonga and New Zealand. My teaching comes from a place of deep love and reverence for the practice\, but also a desire to support people transform their physical\, mental and emotional well being for optimal health and wellness. I encourage my students to come to their inner wisdom via the different techniques yoga offers; philosophical contemplation\, silence\, stillness\, meditation\, breath work\, yoga âsana and of course\, the immersion of all these disciplines via beautifully crafted yoga retreat experiences designed to uplift\, inspire and transform. I also mentor and support new yoga teachers beginning their teaching journey\, to navigate the world of being in business. Learning the ins and outs of running a business and helping them avoid all the common pitfalls and mistakes I made during my career. I’m now based in Bangalow\, in the Northern Rivers of New South Wales.

SUMMARY:Advanced Pranayama and Meditation
DESCRIPTION:Join Yoga Australia online during this 1.5 hour presentation on Advanced Prānāyāma & Meditation with Jessica Ranjit. The most powerful and accelerated ways to improve your life & the connections with those around you\, are often through Svādhyāya (self-study) & Sādhana (your personal spiritual path). Both Prānāyāma & meditation are integral parts of a Yogi’s spiritual practice\, & the techniques selected must be considered in the context of lifestyle & outcome. This workshop describes Prānāyāma techniques such as Nadi Shuddhi\, Sama Vrtti & Chandra Bhedana incorporating breath wave\, bandhas\, mantra\, visualisation\, digital count & metronome. Attendees new to these techniques will have the opportunity to practice & work with Jess towards proficiency ahead of teaching their students. You will also learn how to work in collaboration with their clients & students to prescribe the most appropriate Prānāyāma techniques for physical\, psychological & spiritual wellbeing. The second component of the workshop focuses on Yogic Chakra meditation which builds on the Prānāyāma techniques already described. This complex method works with the Chakra system to balance body\, mind and spirit through a multi-layered approach. The technique is used to accelerate spiritual evolution & insight\, & activate higher brain centres. About the Presenter: Jessica teaches Ashtanga Vinyasa and Restorative Yoga\, focusing on much more than the physical practice (Asana) and includes breathing techniques (Pranayama) and meditation in her classes. Her methods support students to accept where they find themselves\, assist them to progress along their own unique path and reconnect them with their inner Guru. She uses variations to ensure students are safe\, but appropriately challenged.  Anchored in the Ashtanga tradition – with gratitude for the wisdom and teachers that came before her – Jessica began practicing yoga in 2001 and fell so deeply in love with the discipline\, she now teaches private\, group and corporate classes in order to share its gifts. Her more focused learning was born under the tutelage of Gregor Maehle and Monica Gauci\, commencing in 2016\, where she realised the invaluable benefits of the teacher/student relationship. Graduate with confidence to begin your Practice of Ayurveda Diploma of  Ayurvedic Lifestyle Consultation is offered through blended learning. Students are provided with online learning materials including course manuals\, live classrooms and practical training. Practical Training is held at Aligning Health Retreat. Students attend training to learn how to apply theory to practice on members of the public under the supervision of qualified staff Students participate in self-paced material and complete ongoing quizzes. Students participate in Class Demonstrations and inhouse practical training. 15 months of supported study is held through live zoom classes and recorded for revision Students are welcome to attend additional practicals at additional costs if they require further support. There are no exams in this course.

SUMMARY:Online Yoga Journey
DESCRIPTION:The way I have offered support and guidance for others through yoga is by an invitation to join me on a journey. For over 20 years the majority of participants in my in person classes have enrolled for a 10 session term. This has given us the opportunity to experience the richness of exploring an overarching theme. Feedback over the years has affirmed that this is valuable and helpful so I am inviting you to our ongoing journey in this mode of online recordings. Each 3 month period offers within it one or two overarching themes that provide a focus for our practice together (to see what has been offered since autumn 2020 please scroll down).  You can join the current journey (seed) and add as much additional content as you would like. Some of the previous yoga journey themes are also offered as courses so feel free to check those out also.
