Using her experience in Children’s TV\, Stacey produced a series of kids yoga DVDs which sold all over Australia and features on Gaia TV. SUMMARY:Restorative Yoga & Meditation Program Online
DESCRIPTION:When is yoga really restorative? When if offers space and ease (sukham) to all layers of the human system. Many styles of ‘restorative yoga’ focus on techniques that actually create strain or mental agitation by pushing the body into postures that constrict rather than release. For yoga to be restorative it needs to accomodate the needs of the person not put them into a one size fits all mould. \nThis 6 week on line program offers yoga that feels easeful and allows the full experience of letting go of held tensions and strain – in body and mind. The postures are gentle\, grounded and readily adaptable for different bodies. Time will be taken to explore what you need.\nStaying is a focus but gentle movement will be used to encourage ease and restore energy to balance. \nAs we wind our way through relaxing the nervous system via the breath\,  focus and imagery (bhavana) will be incorporated to enhance the restorative effect and provide focus for the mind. \nBhavana is a powerful tool – ‘what we think\, we become’ and the practices will offer us the experience of creating positive focuses for the mind.\nThe meditative focus each week will be on a different element (bhuta) according to Ayurveda – earth\, fire\, wind\, space\, water  – and their manifestation in our body. We are made up of all these elements and when in balance assist our body to be well.\nYoga tools for self care will be explained to take into daily life. \nThe final 20 minutes of practice will offer guided meditation that leads to silence and time for inner space and reflection. \nWhen: Monday February 5 – March 11\nTime: 7.15pm-8.15pm \nOnline via Zoom \nSuitable for all levels of experience and those wishing to engage in a gentler yoga practice leading to an experience of meditation. If you have tried forms of meditation before and find it difficult to focus\, this practice may offer a new way arriving in meditation for you.\nA great practice for calming body and mind and preparing for rest and good sleep.

SUMMARY:The Science and Art of Awakening Human Consciousness - Session Consciousness
DESCRIPTION:This session will initially explore consciousness through the five-level panchamaya yoga model. We will also experientially and briefly touch upon the science of consciousness in meditation with reference to the work of cognitive neuroscientists Dr Anil Seth and Dr Donald Hoffman. Most importantly\, we will explore the field of consciousness that is beyond body\, mind\, birth\, life & death. This field of consciousness is what the great yogis have explored throughout the ages\, taking us to a deeper understanding of what science has not yet proven: the recognition that consciousness and energy are the same and not separate. \n\n“The whole universe\, inside and out\, are manifestations of the same Universal Force: ChitShakti.” \n\n~ Michael Singer \nOn a more personal level\, we will explore both resistance and acceptance within\, noticing how the mind dictates heavily what we do and don’t want. The deep spiritual teaching lies in the recognition that the World isn’t always going to give us what we want. Our minds are constructing a reality of what we think we want. Therefore it is wise that we remain open\, without expectation\, to the moment unfolding right in front of us. What is unfolding in front of us is the reality of where our consciousness meets the moment that just is. \n\n“You attract and manifest whatever corresponds to your inner state.” \n\nEckhart Tolle \nLet us explore the radiance behind all that is…

SUMMARY:Cosmic Alignment: Yoga Therapy for the Spine
DESCRIPTION:A two-day workshop with international teacher Leila Stuart\n24 – 25 February 2023\nin Adelaide\nI am thrilled to be hosting Leila Stuart for her first workshop in Adelaide. I met Leila through our mutual association with Donna Farhi\, with whom Leila co-authored the book Pathways to a Centred Body (2017).  This workshop topic is the core of her new book Theoretical Anatomy: Therapeutic Applications of Embodied Movement and Awareness (forthcoming 2024). Leila’s transformational system of therapeutic yoga evolved from her desire to empower patients and students on the path to self-healing. Whether challenged with physical\, mental or spiritual issues\, Leila skillfully guides students toward a felt sense of their wholeness by exploring experiential anatomy and the interplay between awareness\, gentle movement\, breath\, and mental patterns. \nIn this workshop we will explore the spine through experiential anatomy\, somatic inquiry\, yoga therapy principles\, movement repatterning\, asana\, breath\, sound\, and mental perspective.     We will use the koshic model to discover safe ways to improve spine health\, alignment\, stability\, and mobility\, and to understand how spinal awareness can lead to deep personal transformation. \nThis workshop is suitable for experienced yoga students\, yoga teachers\, personal trainers\, physiotherapists\, and massage therapists interested in learning slow\, mindful\, and accessible movements for healing the spine and neck. \nInvestment:\n$385\nEarly bird $350 expires 15 January – use CA-EB as a Discount Code when booking\nConcessions\nEligibility: holders of a Pensioner Concession Card\, Health Care Card\, or Full Time Student card. \nConcession rate is $325 – use CA-CON as a Discount Code when booking\nEarly bird Concession is $290 expires 15 January – use CA-CON-EB as a Discount Code when booking\nScholarships\nPlease contact Tina to outline your need as we are willing to offer a limited number of scholarships if you are unable to attend for financial reasons. Imagination\, not sheer willpower\, sets the mental ‘picture’ or goal that our automatic mechanism strives to achieve. Our actions or inactions are guided by imagination\, shaping our reality more than mere ‘will’ alone.”— Maxwell Maltz \n\n  \nJoin Sukha Mukha Yoga Director Idit Hefer Tamir for a restorative workshop and a journey inwards. \nWe will explore the quiet within\, by practicing Restorative Yoga asana\, Meditation & Pranayama. \nAs the year resumes its fast-paced rhythm\, join me in a session dedicated to cherishing\, exploring\, and deepening our connection with rest\, restorative yoga\, and Yoga Nidra.  \nThese practices encourage us to remain an integral part of our lives with mindfulness and compassion.  \nRest is not just a pause; it’s an ongoing journey that prompts us to observe the diverse layers of stress we’ve accumulated. Step by step\, we cultivate a sense of calm and safety\, allowing these layers to dissolve and release.  \nThis session is inclusive and welcoming to everyone\, providing a space for relaxation and rejuvenation. \nIt is a beautiful evening inviting the body\, mind and spirit to rediscover that all we need already exists within us. \n\n” If you can imagine it\, you can achieve it.  \nIf you can dream it\, you canbecome it” \nWilliam Arthur Ward \n\n  \nThis workshop is open for all.
