A high number of enquiries for the training came from professionals who work with children. This led to a series of workshops being created that included the best TOOLS of yoga\, without having to do an entire Yoga Teacher Training. SUMMARY:The Science and Art of Awakening Human Consciousness - Session Surrender
DESCRIPTION:“Accept the purification power of life’s flow.” \n\nMichael Singer \nSurrender or letting go is vital in all spiritual disciplines\, religions and philosophies. When we learn to surrender to the moment in front of us\, we accept all just as it is in its complete perfection. Whatever previous thoughts or beliefs we have about an experience or situation\, we learn to completely let go. Ultimately\, we let go of old mental and bodily patterns and self-identification with form. True surrender in everyday life is initially challenging but finally possible within you in this lifetime\, and neurotheology research shows this practice leads to permanent change. When you must genuinely surrender due to a new level of insight\, it is critical to the enlightenment experience. This retreat will offer vital instructions for new-level insights and draw from practices outlined by yogic and Buddhist traditions to invite you into the states of Samādhi. We shall also explore the science of the brain and body in surrender\, peering through Maya\, the illusive reality\, whilst leaning into the experience of Samadhi.

SUMMARY:Restorative Yoga & Meditation Program Online
DESCRIPTION:When is yoga really restorative? When if offers space and ease (sukham) to all layers of the human system. Many styles of ‘restorative yoga’ focus on techniques that actually create strain or mental agitation by pushing the body into postures that constrict rather than release. For yoga to be restorative it needs to accomodate the needs of the person not put them into a one size fits all mould. \nThis 6 week on line program offers yoga that feels easeful and allows the full experience of letting go of held tensions and strain – in body and mind. The postures are gentle\, grounded and readily adaptable for different bodies. Time will be taken to explore what you need.\nStaying is a focus but gentle movement will be used to encourage ease and restore energy to balance. \nAs we wind our way through relaxing the nervous system via the breath\,  focus and imagery (bhavana) will be incorporated to enhance the restorative effect and provide focus for the mind. \nBhavana is a powerful tool – ‘what we think\, we become’ and the practices will offer us the experience of creating positive focuses for the mind.\nThe meditative focus each week will be on a different element (bhuta) according to Ayurveda – earth\, fire\, wind\, space\, water  – and their manifestation in our body. We are made up of all these elements and when in balance assist our body to be well.\nYoga tools for self care will be explained to take into daily life. \nThe final 20 minutes of practice will offer guided meditation that leads to silence and time for inner space and reflection. \nWhen: Monday February 5 – March 11\nTime: 7.15pm-8.15pm \nOnline via Zoom \nSuitable for all levels of experience and those wishing to engage in a gentler yoga practice leading to an experience of meditation. If you have tried forms of meditation before and find it difficult to focus\, this practice may offer a new way arriving in meditation for you.\nA great practice for calming body and mind and preparing for rest and good sleep.

SUMMARY:Official Yoga Australia Event: Self Awareness in Practice
DESCRIPTION:Calling all Yoga Teachers based in Tasmania to join this online session! Join us for the FIRST Tasmanian event for 2024! The theme of the class is Self – Awareness. Self-awareness is the light that reveals what is going on in your body and mind.It is like shinning a torch back at yourself. As human-beings we have a unique ability to be self aware. To have an experience and be aware of it at the same time. When we become self-aware we can can up-grade our thoughts and actions and there-by leave positive impressions in the deeper psyche. We learn to disentangle ourselves from excessive involvement & control of the mind.Between stimuli and response there is a space. Within that space we have an opportunity to respond in a more “sattvic” way.Whether we are performing an asana\, practicing meditation or washing the dishes\, Self-awareness develops self-knowledge and a strong stable centre and a strong mind and there-by able to objectify more effectively. What to Bring:A Yoga Mat\, 2 bricks and a strap. Meet the PresentersShimon Tchobutaru & Jacqui Brumley are a husband team with over 70year of collective experience. They ran a busy Yoga school in Melbourne for 20+ years before moving to King Island in 2019.Their Yoga training is vast and wide with Iyengar certification\, certification in the classical systems of Yoga and many\, many years of studying Yoga philosophy.Whilst in Melbourne\, they also ran teacher training programmes leading young teachers into the vocation of Yoga. They run Yoga retreats in Victoria\, King Island and India offering an immersion into Yogic practices.Shimon and Jacqui are offering the community a class to experience their teachings and the theme will be Self-awareness.This will involve pranayama\, asana\, meditation and relaxation.

It’s complementary to a strong Yoga practice and is suitable for all levels and all ages. \n  \nABOUT IDIT\nIdit is the founder of Sukha Mukha Yoga and the Director of Sukha Mukha Yoga Teacher Training. \nIdit was one of the first teachers to start offering restorative yoga classes in Sydney over 16 years ago. SUMMARY:Free Meditation Made Easy
DESCRIPTION:Discover how easy meditation can be in this 90-minute intro. Instead of watching your mind\, get deeper within your own Divine Essence by using the shortcuts that are yoga’s specialty. Especially when you meditate with a Teacher\, exploring within gets really easy. \nTaj-jayaat praj~nyaaloka.h. — Yoga Sutras 3.5 \nBy mastering meditation\, the light of higher knowledge shines within. \nYou get stress reduction\, improved focus and clarity of mind from meditation starting with day 1. Yet the ultimate goal is the light of higher knowledge\, the Knowingness and Bliss that provides the inner foundation for a whole new way to live. \nIt is said that the best way to learn to meditate is to sit with an experienced meditator. Your teacher has been meditating for over 20 years\, and has taught hundreds of people to meditate. You are the beneficiary of her depth and experience — all in one short program.  \nThis meditation system is named Svaroopa® Vidya and is based in yoga’s tantric system. In a single class you will learn the goal and purpose of meditation as well as the how-to basics. You can ask your questions and be ready to add meditation to your lifestyle.

SUMMARY:Yoga Under the Bodhi Tree: Yoga Retreat 2024: OM - The Silent Yoga Meditation Retreat
DESCRIPTION:Yogis say silence is the common language of communication between living and non-living beings and silence is considered the very heartbeat of the Universe. The Vedic scriptures call this inner silence Mouna. So come and join us and discover your Mouna. Two days of yoga\, guided meditations\, breathwork\, discourse\, yoga nidra\, nature\, sound healing\, art therapy\, journaling\, and mindfulness – all done in Sacred Silence. \nOur modern world is saturated with the ceaseless noise that issues from every corner of our lives and this noise pollution triples every 30 years. In an age when at least a third of Earth’s natural ecosystems have gone quiet to the point of “aural extinction\,” all kinds of sounds; mechanical\, human and informational noise have been amplified. What does this deluge of sound and information do to us: our bodies\, our brains and our happiness? It erodes your consciousness. It makes it harder to focus on what’s in front of you\, to manage your mind’s impulses\, to notice\, to appreciate\, and to preserve open space in your mind. The open space of silence. And without this silence we are distracted\, stressed\, anxious and make bad decisions. \nSo use these 2 days to plug into the real you\, the wise voice in your head which up till now has been drowned out by noisy\, modern life. If you’re seeking clarity on a decision\, trying to find the core of a life challenge\, trying to find joy in an increasingly unstable world or trying to move forward in a new direction – then this retreat is for you. In the hush of silent solitude\, you’ll find the space needed for undistracted reflection and you can focus on picking up on signals and listening to their urgent broadcasts. In your inner silence you’ll discover meaning\, real joy\, peace and an inner self-reliance. \nA deeply introspective\, life changing two days. In the words of Sai Baba:\n“You can hear the footsteps of God when silence reigns in the mind.” \nYoga: Five beautifully balanced yoga classes linking the breath to movement. Flow Vinyasa Yoga and YIN Yoga. Gentle loving stretching (asana) and breath  (pranayama). Perfect for the absolute beginner to the seasoned yogi.\nBreathwork:\nFunctional breathwork\, Tantric Breathwork and Pranayama.\nMeditation:\nFour guided meditations\, two yoga nidra meditations\, trakata (candle) meditation\, two walking meditations in rainforest and forest bathing at the waterfall.\nWorkshops:\nArt Therapy Workshop and a Mandala Workshop.\nSacred Ceremony: Using ritual and ceremony release the unwanted and create space for new beginnings.\nSound healing:\nTwo Sound baths using Crystal bowls\, Tibetan bowls\, chimes\, rattles and drums. \nNourish: Luscious vegetarian\, ayurvedic food. Six catered meals (GF\, DF and Vegan catered for) with morning and afternoon tea.\nSatsang: Chai tea ceremony.\nRest: In exquisite rainforest surrounds\, near tumbling waterfalls and beneath trees from the Neolithic age.
