Planning Your Kids’ Yoga Class

Learn about class structure and how to plan a fun and engaging yoga class for children of different ages.

Still, we always go with the flow, answer the children’s needs and co-create the experience with them as you will learn in this video.

Class Structure

Here’s the gist of it all…

  1. CONNECT – Something to bring everyone together and become a yoga tribe
  2. POSES – It’s a yoga class after all 🙂
  3. SOMETHING FUN – It’s the social part of the class
  4. QUIET TIME – A big part of yoga too… breath, relaxation, guided imagery, massage, meditation, time to go within.

Choosing A Theme For School Aged Children

There is a lot to say about interest-based learning.

Interest-based learning is a powerful tool to help kids have a real invested interest in exploring and imbibing a topic.

We can learn EVERYTHING through ANYTHING… You can have a class about Pokemons and on the way learn how to work together, be kind to each other and make the world a better place while also stretching, strengthening, breathing and learning a few more coping skills… But it will only work if the kids are into what you are teaching.

Choosing Interesting Themes For Teen Yoga

We always have to fit what we teach to the people that we teach. And with teens, we really have the opportunity to dive deeper than ever before and teach them life skills and wisdom that will stay with them forever.
