SUMMARY:Shifting Moods: Yoga Practice in the Light of the Guṇa
DESCRIPTION:Participants of this course will come to clearly understood the three guṇa – sattva\, tamas & rajas – and their respective roles in every day life as well as their influence as well their influence and importance on our journey in Yoga. \nOver the course of the weekend\, we will explore how we can influence the guṇa – both on and off the mat. \nThe focus on Saturday will be understanding the role of the guṇa-s from a philosophical and personal perspective. This day will be of interest to anyone with an interest in Yoga. \nThe focus on Sunday will be course planning to achieve a specific effect. This half-day will mainly be of interest to those with an understanding of course planning. \nThis workshop will include practical\, experiential and philosophical elements and will be supported by ancient texts including Patañjali-s Yoga Sūtra\, Saṃkhya Kārikā and Bhagavadgīta.
