DESCRIPTION:Discover and connect with Sanskrit\, the language of yoga \n  \nWho is this workshop for? \n\nYoga teachers or practitioners\, who want to connect with Sanskrit in a practical\, meaningful and friendly way\nComplete beginners are welcome – no prior knowledge of Sanskrit or other languages required\n\n  \nWorkshop details \n\nFormat: Live online via Zoom (not recorded)\nDates: November 29 and 30\nDuration: Two sessions\, each 2 hours\nFacilitator: Julian Singh (a Certified Yoga Teacher\, and 2 years formal Sanskrit study)\nBring: A notebook and pen/pencil. Materials will be shared during the class.\n\nWhat you’ll learn \n\nThe history and significance of Sanskrit in yoga traditions\nIntroduction to the Devanagari script and alphabet\nKey pronunciation cues\nCommon yoga terms – their meaning\, roots\, and pronunciation\nGuided writing practice of Devanagari\nSuggestions and resources for further exploration\n\nThis workshop will run 3-5pm on both 29 Nov and 30 Nov\, for a total of 4 hours.The fee for YA members is $76\, for non-YA members it is $95.
