What Are The Doshas?

The three primary doshas or constitutions are Pitta, Vata, and Kapha. Each represents two of the five elements: Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Space. Pitta is a combination of Fire and Water elements, Kapha is made of Water and Earth elements and Vata is a mixture of Air and Space. Our true nature or prakriti, is the constitution or the specific mix of doshas we were born with.

This course consists of three different modules Pitta, Vata and Kapha. You have the option of discovering all three or attending any single one of your choosing.

When our doshas are in balance, it means they are close to their original, healthy and optimal states of being. If our lifestyle is pretty erratic or if events happen that are out of our control (like a pandemic) it causes an imbalance which can lead to elevated states of stress and anxiety resulting in the mind / body / spirit disconnect and imbalance that eventually leads to dis-ease.

After a hectic and stressful two years now is the time to gift yourself and your students the tools and techniques needed to return to a healthy state of equilibrium. During this course I'll be sharing a variety of practices which have helped me through some of the toughest times in my life, drawing upon wisdom from Prana Flow yoga, movement meditation, pranayama, self massage, somatic inquiry and other self regulating activities.

During each module you'll experience a yoga practice for the individual dosha, a movement meditation and specific mudra mindfully crafted to balance, pacify and bring your physical, emotional and spiritual bodies back into harmony. 

You'll be encouraged to create your own daily ritual which is sustainable and achievable for you for continued vitality based on your individual constitution. 

Each modules includes

~ A physical yoga, movement and meditation practice for the dosha designed to balance and restore your energetic, emotional and physical wellbeing.
~ Having the confidence in knowing when you need to rest and when you need to rise instead of pushing on through.
~ A downloadable guide for each dosha with journalling prompts, self regulating activities and check in tools.
~ Life time access to the course material and practice videos for you to return too and benefit from at anytime.
~ Group accountability within a supportive environment with like minded yogis on and offline.

This CPD course is registered with Yoga Alliance and Yoga Australia and offers certified yoga teachers up to 12 continued professional development hours.
