Pregnancy Yoga with Mindful Birth

Our Teacher Training programs change the lives of women and the communities they work with.

Our programs are based on our research, conducted by our co-founder Dr. Jean Byrne, and are open to anyone wanting to deepen their understanding of mindful pregnancy, childbirth and parenting.

Training with us in person cultivates a lived sisterhood, connecting women from diverse backgrounds together.

You will be equipped with the skills, knowledge and confidence to teach Pregnancy, Post Natal and Yoga for Active Birth.


The 1st of 3 Modules, of our 150 hour program - Mindful Birth: Yoga for Pregnancy, Birth and Baby.

This training is in-person. However, in case circumstances change and we are unable to gather in-person, this training will run Online/Livestream via Zoom.

Pregnancy Yoga | Course Objectives:

  • To learn about the relationship between the practice of yoga and women’s life cycles

  • To understand the medical and cultural context, both past and present, of pregnancy and birthing

  • To understand the physical and emotional changes that occur in women and their babies at different stages of development, pre- and post-natal

  • To understand how to teach healthy pregnant women appropriate yoga practices for the stage of their pregnancy

  • To understand the common complaints, contraindications and conditions during pregnancy and how to adapt yoga practice to these in order to teach safely

  • To facilitate an understanding of how the teaching of pregnancy yoga can enable women to have a conscious and active birth and improve their birth experience and outcomes, so that teachers may then empower their students to birth consciously

  • To learn and implement the theory of Optimal Fetal Positioning as it applies to yoga asana in their yoga classes

  • To enable teachers to deliver interesting, informative and fun classes for women during pregnancy, for birth, and beyond

Schedule and Contact Hours: 

  • A total of 24 hours combined lectures, teaching practicums, and class observations.

  • 16 contact hours: Fridays from the 6 May, 9:30 am – 27 May, 2:30 pm: Lectures, classes, and practicums

  • 5 hours: Class assists (1 hr), Class observation (1 hr), Online classes (3 hrs)


A foundational Teacher training certificate is recommended, but is not required to undertake our training.

Yoga practice experience, curiosity, a willingness to be open to a learning experience and share in trusted and sacred discussion with your peers will see that you personally, greatly benefit from this course. Taking your learnings and experiences in your own life.


This training is in In-Person at Pymble.

However, should circumstances change and we can no longer gather in person, our training will shift Online/Livestream via Zoom.

What to complete our renowned 150 hour program, Mindful Birth: Yoga for Pregnancy, Birth and Baby?

You can choose to complete M1: Pregnancy Yoga, or continue your learning and complete Modules 2 & 3.

Module 2 (M2): Post Natal Yoga
Module 3 (M3): Yoga for Active Birth

Both modules can be completed as per our Teacher Training Schedule.
Our Schedule caters to a variety of learning needs and personal commitments.
M2 & M3 can be taken in person, OR Livestreamed where our schedule denotes.

Alternatively, you can also choose to complete M2 & M3 at your own pace, fully online with a mentor.
