Professional Development for Yoga Teachers (PD4YT) is based around facilitated dialogue and reflective practice and is therefore relevant for practitioners of all styles and at any stage of their yogic teaching path.

PD4YT comes from a place that recognises that as a yoga teacher and practitioner you already possess a good deal of knowledge and wisdom.  It also recognises that our learning is lifelong and that we can always deepen our connection and understanding into this vast body of knowledge and practice.

PD4YT comprises of 6 modules that explore various challenges that we all meet from time to time.

The topics covered in PD4YT include:

  • Self-Doubt in Yoga Teaching- 1.30- 4.30pm, Saturday 5th September
  • Meeting Diverse Needs in a Yoga Class- 1.30- 4.30pm, Saturday 19th September
  • Self-Care in Teaching Yoga- 1.30- 4.30pm, Saturday 10th October
  • The Student/ Teacher Relationship: Ethics and Emotions 1.30- 4.30pm, Saturday 7 November
  • Running Your Successful Yoga Business 1.30- 4.30pm, Saturday 21 November

Communication Skills in the Yoga Class 1.30- 4.30pm, Saturday 5 December

Referencing Patanjali's yoga sutras we examine these topics in-depth through facilitated questioning, discussion and reflection. This encourages all participants to consider and share their respective understandings in a safe setting.

The group benefits from what you offer, and in turn, you gather different perspectives; together we pool our wisdom and take from it what we find useful.

Participants have fed back that they valued the collegial connections they made and learned much about their own and others' approaches to the teaching, learning and practice of yoga.

After teaching yoga for five years, I felt like I had so many questions that I couldn’t seem to find answers for. Then in walked Camille. When the student is ready, the teacher will appear! Camille is warm and insightful and her offering is grounded in self inquiry. This enables every participant to discover their own wisdom and is a rare gift from a humble teacher willing to ask, listen and share. I loved getting to know the other yoga teachers and feel like I have become part of a supportive community who have all contributed to the richness of the experience.
I’m always very impressed by your ability to direct people in a group so that everyone feels seen and heard. It’s like your superhero power.
Anyway, I would definitely recommend this series to anyone wanting to expand their teaching toolbox . Have you ever thought about writing a book?
