Please join us to meet other regional VIC yoga teachers in our community, participate in the discussion, and earn 3 CPD points. This workshop, presented by Shirani Perera, will focus on how to keep the body, mind and soul at ease through food, environment, Yoga, Meditation & Pranayama. This event is open to all Yoga teachers, members and non-members alike and will take place in the Bass Coast, which is close to Phillip Island.

What's on the agenda?

This presentation will have a theory and practical component. Shirani will focus on the following topics:

  • The 5 Koshas (layers of the human body) - how to treat the ailment at each of these levels

  • The 3 Doshas - learn about your body type and how to feed it accordingly to keep it at ease

  • Marma Points - used in conjunction with yoga to address ailments of the body

  • Neck & Shoulder pain - how to relieve pain

  • Mood disorders and yoga therapy

  • Keeping healthy hips (if time permits)

Vegetarian lunch at the end of the session is optional and will be $15. You can choose to purchase this in the ticket options.

About the Presenter - Shirani Perera

Shirani is a regular and an ardent practitioner of Iyengar Yoga. She has several years of experience under her belt. Trained by the Australian College of Classical Yoga and at the Kashmir Shaivism School of Yoga in Dharamshala India.

She has her own ashram "Santhosa" where she conducts yoga classes tailored to suit individual needs. She uses Yoga as therapy on a  number of people with a range of ailments gaining successful results.

Yoga and Ayurveda are branches of the same root and go hand in hand. An understanding of the mind, body and spirit is the theme and philosophy underlying her entire style of living and yoga practice.

What to Bring

Please bring along:

  • Notebook and a pen

  • Yoga mat

  • Tennis ball

If you have the following, feel free to also bring these along:

  • Belt

  • Block

  • Bolster

  • 2-3 blankets

Bookings are essential, please make sure to secure your spot through Eventbrite.

This event will take place at the Bass Valley Community Centre, 2-4 Bass School Road, Bass, VIC, 3991.

Optional extras:

You have the option to purchase a vegetarian lunch for $15 and an accommodation package of 4 people for $60 each.  The ashram “Santhosa “ is situated in Bass Woolamai on the same premises as Claypot Curry House. The address is 733 Turnbull - Woolamai Rd. Woolamai.
