About this Event

Please join us to meet other Tasmanian yoga teachers in our community, participate in discussion, and earn 3 CPD points. This workshop, presented by Karmina Gordon, will explore fusing sound and yoga. This event is open to all Yoga teachers, members and non-members alike.

About the Presenter - Karmina Gordon

Karmina Gordon from Sound Scent Soul is passionate about the importance of supporting Body, Mind and Spirit in healing with gentle natural treatments and remedies. Having used Herbal Medicine, Flower Essences, Kinesiology and Aromatherapy for years she was excited to discover how sound healing worked alongside these therapies. Sound Healing has become her favourite healing tool as it gently dissolves and transforms stuck energy flows and brings a deep sense of peace, connectedness, self discovery and self understanding. The sense of empowerment which this gives clients is vital in assisting them make lasting beneficial changes.

What's on the agenda?

In this presentation, Karmina will discuss the theory before we experience the Sound & Yoga Fusion session. This is an experiential workshop which will allow Yoga professionals to discover the way that sound instruments can deepen the sense of self connection. Aligned with focused intent, when sound instruments are played frequencies are produced that change the vibrations within and throughout the physical and subtle energy bodies. The harmonic overtones create a new resonant patterning in our lives and environment and replace old patterns with new ones.

Key Learning Outcomes:

  • How to set an intent for the sound to follow.
  • Experiencing the flow of sound and intent.

What is Sound and Yoga Fusion?

Sound waves carry the consciousness into deeper states of relaxation and awareness. They help deepen the experience and connection to our inner self. The use of specific sounds entrains our brain waves bringing us into resonance with the alpha and theta states. In these states we can experience deep relaxation while remaining aware of the present surroundings. These states can enhance meditation and help to allow us to release tension and blocks in the subtle energetic fields or nadis.
