This Yoga Australia registered course is a
50-hour Pre and Post-natal teacher training course for Level 1 YA Teachers
We will cover:
• Anatomy and Physiology of women as it relates to pre and postnatal. • Exploration of Yogic Physiology through the Chakras, Meridians and Koshas. • Philosophy, Ethics and Lifestyle • Yoga practices for pregnancy and postnatal. • Teaching Methodology and appropriate asana modifications. • Integrative Practice and supervised Teaching
This course will not only focus on the practical and theoretical aspects in becoming a pre and post-natal yoga instructor, but it will also explore the feminine wisdom in pregnancy, birth and motherhood through the ancient practices of Yoga. You will, in particular, develop your Emotional Self (Swadisthana Chakra), Heart Space (Anahata Chakra) and your Third Eye (Anja Chakra) for healing and teaching.
This course, under the guidance of Kylie Hennessy, who has almost 2 decades of teaching experience and has been teaching prenatal yoga for over 17 years to date. She is a childbirth educator, a calmbirth® Practitioner, a Doula and a mother of three, two of which were born at home. She is passionate about empowering mothers and yoga. She will help you to develop skills to create a nurturing environment and help you to build confidence in your instruction. She is a mother of three and a woman who has had the privilege to birth at home.
Kylie also successfully runs prenatal yoga classes from her busy studio and will guide you with some business tips too. Her centre runs 6 busy prenatal classes and mums and bub's classes per week, birth education, acupuncture, acupressure, massage, physio, naturopathy, calmbirth® classes, doula services for women and couples. She is arguably one of the most experienced and successful pre and postnatal teachers here in Sydney and is passionate about sharing her wisdom and experience she has gained from over 20 years of teaching yoga and supporting women through fertility, pregnancy and motherhood.
There will be some pre and post module work to complete as well.
