Amanda is a Senior Yoga Teach with Yoga Australia.
We include all 8 limbs in our of Yoga – Yama (How we conduct ourselves in the world), Niyama (how we treat ourselves), Asana (Postures), Pranayama (Breathing), Pratyahara (Withdrawal of the Senses), Dharana (Concentration), Dhyana (Meditation) and Samadhi (Enlightenment). These branches are woven into the whole tree of our practice. Used as a framework, our classes are sprinkled with philosophy, story and bhav – the spirit of yoga.
We encourage each of you to practice in a way that is kind, compassionate and appropriate at any given time, week to week, day to day, moment to moment – taking into account energy levels, injuries, emotions and current life circumstances. Our classes are our community and in this special space we find the strengthening, the softening and the transformative power of our yoga practice.
We also hold a number of retreats and workshops throughout the year, within Australia and overseas.
Blocks run for 10 weeks (mostly) in conjunction with Queensland school terms. See website for current dates.
