Anahata has been practising yoga for 30 years and teaching since 2002.

Anahata teaches an integrated approach to yoga that explores yoga as an intimate embrace of the whole mandala of life. In 2013 she established One Heart Yoga and Meditation, a community-oriented sanctuary for authentic practice, located at The Abbotsford Convent.

Anahata explores a slow flow vinyasa style to deeply integrate natural ways of moving and being. We explore moving, breathing, standing, sitting and simply being as deep expresssions of our innate wholeness. Anahata offers dynamic, integrated, beginners, restorative and prenatal yoga classes, workshops and retreats.

She is passionate about prenatal yoga as a way to help women have empowering birth experiences and she runs twice-yearly the Yoga of Birth: Teaching Prenatal Yoga: Graduate Certificate training (Yoga Australia approved). She runs the Yoga of Sound Immersion trainings for yoga teachers throughout the year. She provides mentoring to yoga teachers. Anahata is also a trained yoga therapist and offers individual yoga therapy sessions to address specific needs with individualised yoga programs. Anahata is a member of Yoga Australia as both a yoga teacher and yoga therapist. She has completed teacher training Yoga for Depression and Anxiety with Amy Weintraub and Trauma Aware yoga training. 

With a background in nonviolent activism and work as an activist and community development worker in the environmental, peace and domestic violence fields, she is passionate about practice as a foundation for social change.
