Erika is the founder of Change with Yoga, is a certified yoga therapist, trauma center trauma sensitive yoga facilitator (TCTSY-F), laughter yoga facilitator, and yoga educator.

"I was first drawn to yoga when I was a teenager and travelled to India with a dear friend of mine and her family. We stayed in an ashram for about a month and although I didn’t practice physical yoga, I did learn about yogic philosophy and it really resonated with me.

For me, it was a way to challenge my outlook on life but not only that, it changed my relationship to myself and the way I engaged in the world. I dabbled in the physical practice of yoga after that, but it wasn’t until I was living in Brighton, England that I immersed myself in a consistent practice.

I would regularly visit the local Buddhist centre to practice and it was here that I was inspired to become a teacher myself. I then journeyed back to Australia and relocated to Melbourne where I went on to study my advanced diploma of yoga teacher training.

I then went on to study yogic philosophy and yin yoga, then completed my graduate certificate in yoga therapy and became certified in trauma center trauma sensitive yoga.

My enthusiasm to learn more about yoga seems to be forever evolving and although this is my area of work now it’s very much, and more so, about the way I live my life."

Erika is a registered senior yoga teacher and certified yoga therapist with Yoga Australia and is a certified Yoga Therapist through the International Association of Yoga Therapy. Erika is also certified through the Trauma Center at Justice Resource Institute to facilitate Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga sessions (TCTSY-F).

Erika is now based in Meanjin (Brisbane) but still continues to offer online services to folks in Naam (Melbourne) and afar.

Erika offers regular online yin yoga and TCTSY courses, as well as seeing private clients for TCTSY or Yoga Therapy. NDIS and VOCA clients are welcome.

Anna , Bentleigh Fitness Centre

I always look forward to my yoga classes with Erika. I love the relaxing,

Student from Kundalini House

Erika has been great. She has a good blend of the physical practice and meditation and is playful in her classes. I think that is quite unique and I really enjoy that aspect of her class.

Sarah, workshop with female offenders

Watching Erika with the women was profound. It was great to see them smiling and really connecting with themselves.

'I recently had a session with Erika in order to work through some feelings of panic and anxiety I've had around the changing global climate. Erika is incredibly personable, and I felt immediately at ease discussing my concerns and felt reassured throughout the session. While I have some foundational knowledge on how to manage these feelings, she was able to give me greater structure and further develop my coping skills. I left the session feeling incredibly calm and that I had regained some control over my anxiety. I cannot recommend Erika enough!'

I booked in for three Yoga Therapy sessions not totally knowing what to expect. Erika made me feel at ease from the outset. She is a good listener, calm, reassuring and patient. I have a few programs to practice at home that are suited specifically to my needs. Now yoga has become a daily practice, which was always one of my intentions. I would recommend Erika to anyone who wants to start making Yoga a more meaningful and enriching experience, with the help of a caring and knowledgeable practitioner.'
