I did my teacher training in 1999 and started teaching in 2000. I learnt a gentle style of yoga which focused very much on safety and kindness for the body.
I have continued to do further study with much of my training in keeping with anatomical facts (people having different types of bone shapes and sizes etc) and what is the best thing for the individual body.
I try and teach movements that are functional and will help with our day to day activities and mobility rather than doing a posture that the ability to do has no bearing on the way we move each day.
I teach 8 classes a week plus have regular one-on-one students. I am passionate about my profession and helping people to develop their own body awareness.
