When I take a moment to recall the gifts that yoga gives to me I am inspired to pass on this incredible teaching to others. The practice of yoga gives me vitality, an energised feeling of being fully alive. It brings me into this moment, giving me calmness, clarity and focus. The teachings of yoga help me to understand my life in all its joy and pain. Every practice feels like coming home to myself. I feel compelled to teach this to others.
I have been teaching yoga since 2004 but my interest in yoga began years before that. I practiced for many years alone from a book before I eventually found the time and money to attend regular classes. And as soon as I attended regular classes I knew that I wanted to teach.
I love yoga, practicing and teaching. I love to read and learn., I love people and learning about them. I especially love my wonderful, supportive family, I have a huge extended family, a husband, kids and 2 gorgeous grandchildren. I am indeed blessed.
My classes are hatha yoga and include movement and breath awareness as a way to come more deeply into yourself in this moment. We gradually build strength and flexibility leaving you feeling energised and comfortable in your own beautiful body. The class allows you to do the practice to the level that you feel able to, so it is suitable for beginners and more experienced students. We finish with a deep relaxation which leads naturally to meditation. Come and explore this experience of life through the lens of yoga.
