Join senior yoga teacher and trainer Margot Porter for her advanced Yoga for Menopause Wellbeing teacher training course.

Margot is the creator of Yoga for Menopause Wellbeing YTT, the first training in Australia to educate and empower yoga teachers about the transformative power of menopause. Perfect for Australian and New Zealand teachers, this training teaches you how to support women from peri to post-menopause in your general classes and create bespoke Yoga for Menopause Wellbeing immersions, courses, and retreats.

ZOOM LIVE/ONLINE TRAINING

  • 28 hours of live online sessions
  • Over 12 hours of recorded online content

Dates September 2025

  • Friday 7.00 to 9.30 pm AEST on September 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th
  • Saturday 1.00 to 6.00 pm AEST on September 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th

TRAINING PREREQUISITES 

  •  A minimum of 200-hour RYT in Hatha or Vinyasa Yoga.
  • This advanced training assumes basic knowledge of anatomy, yoga asana, and pranayama techniques.
  • It assumes you have the first aid and insurance requirements to teach classes in your country.
  • 100% attendance over the ZOOM live component of the training
  • A good understanding of spoken English and the ability to read and study materials in English.
  • Trainees have access to digital copies of the handbook, circle booklet, and assessment workbook.
  • The assessment workbook is interactive, and you’ll be given time during the training to make notes.

ACCREDITATION

  1. 100% attendance over the four weekends of training
  2. Complete the workbook covering the Four Focus Areas
  3. Submit a class plan that addresses one of the case studies
  4. Submit a one-page reflection on an activity or journal prompt explored in one of the Wise Women Circles

TRAINING OUTLINE

Join Margot Porter for her 40-hour teacher training course and learn how to run workshops and group classes to support women through the stages of perimenopause to post-menopause. Margot’s course is the first of its kind in Australia, and she created it to address a deficit in yoga teacher training around yoga and menopause. She is the pioneering founder of Yoga for Menopause Wellbeing (launched in 2019) and has trained more than 60+ teachers in Australia since launching her teacher training program in 2023.

  • Yoga for Menopause Wellbeing educates and empowers you to help women to navigate the roller-coaster ride of menopause by embracing the journey as an opportunity for self-growth.
  • This live online training weaves together the latest in Western medical science to support the claims of Eastern wellbeing practices and includes yoga, pranayama, yoga Nidra, meditation, Ayurveda, and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).
  • Margot’s approach positively reframes menopause as a celebration of self and an opportunity to upgrade at our Second Spring and thrive in post-menopause.
  • This course trains you to become a confident, knowledgeable and supportive Yoga for Menopause Wellbeing teacher, sharing the skills and information necessary to teach group Yoga for Menopause Yoga classes, workshops, retreats and courses.

Yoga Australia and Yoga Alliance accredit this training course for 40 CPD points.

All graduate teachers receive a digital certificate from Yoga for Menopause Wellbeing worth 40 CPD points.
