100hr Teen Yoga – Online
The 100-Hour Teen Yoga course is a comprehensive, evidence-informed training designed for yoga teachers, educators, therapists, and wellbeing professionals who wish to work safely and effectively with adolescents and young people using yoga as a therapeutic modality.
Rooted in trauma-informed practice, developmental neuroscience, and traditional yogic wisdom, this course provides a strong foundation for applying yoga therapeutically to support mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing in young people aged approximately 11–25.
Course Overview
This foundational training introduces the principles, ethics, and practical tools of yoga therapy, with a special emphasis on adolescent development, nervous system regulation, and safeguarding.
Module 1 – The social dimensions of young lives – online and offline
Module 2 – The teenage brain – psychology and neuroscience
Module 3 – The teenage body – anatomy and development
Module 4 – Yoga philosophy and young people – ethical aspects
Module 5 – Inclusion in Teen Yoga – diversity and disadvantage
Participants will gain:
- A clear understanding of yoga therapy vs. general yoga teaching
- Practical skills to adapt yoga practices for emotional regulation, stress, anxiety, trauma, and developmental challenges
- Confidence to work within appropriate professional boundaries
- A framework for collaboration with schools, families, and health professionals
This course forms the entry-level qualification within the TeenYoga therapeutic pathway and may contribute toward further advanced or specialist trainings.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Explain the foundations and scope of yoga therapy
- Apply trauma-informed, age-appropriate yoga practices
- Understand adolescent brain and nervous system development
- Design simple, safe, therapeutic yoga sessions for young people

Who This Course Is For
You will need a 200 hour basic yoga teacher training certificate to enrol in this course or the equivalent in terms of a 3 year constant yoga practise. It is also beneficial if you have experience working with young people.
