Description

This 10-month in-person training program is under the guidance of Level 2 Yoga Teacher Suzanne (Suz) Phillis. The training program spans 10 weekend modules where you will learn yoga philosophy, anatomy, and professional skills and practical teaching experience. Ongoing fortnightly Zoom calls are provided between modules to offer space for discussion, feedback, and ongoing support, so you feel connected and confident throughout the process.

Each training weekend integrates theoretical knowledge with practical learning. Each morning session begins with guided asana, pranayama, and meditation and is followed by sequencing, cueing and teaching practice. The afternoons of the training program shift to richer discussions and studies covering the fundamentals of functional anatomy and physiology as well as yoga philosophy and ethics and professional conduct. This integrated approach ensures that everything you learn in theory is immediately grounded in embodied practice.

You will learn to teach safe inclusive and inspiring yoga classes to diverse bodies and abilities while maintaining yoga’s traditional principles including the yamas and niyamas. Anatomy and physiology are explored in a way that directly informs your teaching, helping you understand how movement, breath, and alignment affect the body and mind. Yoga philosophy is brought to life with practical application, showing how it can shape both your personal practice and the way you hold space for others.

You will also gain professional skills during the 10 months which will support you in your teaching career including ethical guidelines and communication techniques and basics of running a class or starting a yoga business. You will be assessed throughout the course through practice teaching, written reflections and class planning to ensure that you graduate confident and capable.

Upon completing all course requirements you will be eligible to register with Yoga Australia. This is a transformational experience which is more than just a qualification that deepens your practice and connects you to a supportive community and prepares you to share yoga with authenticity, clarity and heart.

Our Yoga Teacher Training Program combines hands-on teaching methods with comprehensive theoretical knowledge in each training session for immediate practical application.
