Botannix Yoga Teacher Training 2026

The Botannix Yoga Teacher Training is a 200-hour, Yoga Alliance accredited course led by senior teacher Katie Rose. It offers a comprehensive, integrated approach to yoga, blending hatha yoga (asana, pranayama, bandha) with jnana, dhyana, bhakti, and nada yoga to enhance physical health, psychological well-being, and spiritual growth. This program provides a broad foundation in both the theoretical and practical aspects of yoga.

Students will receive hands-on teaching experience, along with extensive resources like a workbook, lectures, workshops, and recorded materials. Limited to a maximum of 16 participants, this training offers personalized mentorship and requires participation in studio classes for a complete learning experience.

Topics covered include teaching methodology, anatomy, subtle anatomy, yoga philosophy, communication skills, Sanskrit, lifestyle and ethics, pregnancy yoga, Ayurveda, and the business of yoga. This course is ideal for those looking to teach or deepen their personal practice.

In our time together we will cover the following topics:

​Teaching Methodology: principles of demonstration, observation, assisting/correcting, instruction, teaching styles, qualities of a teacher, the student’s process of learning.

​Subtle Anatomy: understanding the metaphysical and energetic framework of how yoga works.

​Anatomy and physiology in relation to yoga poses and the muscular and skeletal body.

​Communication and interpersonal skills.

​Sanskrit: using the ancient language of yoga.

​Yoga Philosophy: exploration of important yoga texts including The Yoga Sutras, The Bhagavad Gita and The Hatha Yoga Pradipika. 

​Lifestyle and Ethics for Yoga Teachers: exploration of what constitutes a yoga lifestyle and ethics for yoga teachers.

​Pregnancy yoga and women’s teachings.

Ayurveda: yoga’s ‘sister science’.

​Business skills: practical tools for the business of yoga. 

​Sequencing, Language, theming to prepare for taking a class. 

​Practicum: practice teaching, receiving feedback, observing others teaching, assisting other teachers and hearing/giving feedback.
