Master of Yoga Teaching (500 Hours)
At Western Wellness you become more than a teacher, you become a Master of Yoga.
Our Yoga Alliance Accredited Programs allow you to specialise in areas of key demand for Yoga Teachers such as, Hatha & Vinyasa, Yin & Relaxation, Trauma Informed, Pre & Post Natal Yoga. Master of Yoga students first graduate with the Advanced Diploma of Yoga Qualification then complete three majoring electives, this means you get four separate Qualifications for the price of one! Delivered part-time, 5 hours per week over 12 months, Students have the option of attending training onsite in person or attending remotely online in a self-paced environment. Our program is extremely flexible and family friendly and can be easily completed by students who work full-time and have children.
The Master of Yoga program is designed for students who would like to become a multi-disciplined practitioner advancing their career pathway or for students who wish to broaden their arears of study within specialty groups. Students have the option to complete the Master program (electives) at the conclusion of their Advanced Diploma course, or to revisit the elective modules after taking a break from study.
Core Modules: 300 Hours
• Module 1: The History & Philosophy of Yoga
• Module 2: Theory & Practice of Yoga
• Module 3: Energetic Anatomy & Physiology
• Module 4: Human Anatomy & Physiology
• Module 5: Yoga Teaching Methodology, Practices & Ethics
Elective Modules: 50 Hour Certificates (Students to select (3) of the following)
• Elective 1: Certificate of Yin & Relaxation Yoga
• Elective 2: Certificate of Pregnancy Yoga
• Elective 3: Certificate of Trauma Informed Yoga
• Elective 4: Certificate of Restorative Yoga
• Elective 5: Certificate of Mindfulness Coaching
Program Requirements:
• Home Study: 100 Hours (2 – hours / week)
• Contact Hours: 300 Hours – Completed face-to-face or online
• Asana Practice: 100 Hours – (Attend 1 – 2 yoga classes / week) completed online or face-to-face
