Pregnancy, Active Birth and Baby Yoga Teacher Training
This comprehensive program will enable you to teach Yoga confidently and safely through all three trimesters of pregnancy, ease pregnancy-related discomforts in a class setting, and answer important questions about a woman’s journey through labour and birth. You will also be able to offer continuity of care, guiding mothers through the Postpartum period with Postnatal yoga and helping them recover and bond with their babies.
This training program covers the principles, techniques, and practices of asana, pranayama, and meditation and key aspects of yoga philosophy as they relate to Pregnancy and the Postpartum period. Additional subjects include Active Birth and baby Yoga.
Suzanne Swan’s wealth of knowledge and practice spans three decades, and she is available during the training to guide you personally towards your goal of becoming a certified Pregnancy and Postnatal Yoga Teacher. She is the founder of Yogababy (since 1999), a specialised yoga school for Fertility, Pregnancy, Active Birth, and Baby Yoga for women and their families.
Curriculum Pregnancy, Active Birth & Baby Yoga(150hrs)
This is a flexible, module-based program enabling both qualified yoga teachers and women’s health professionals to choose any module as a stand-alone training, i.e. Prenatal, Postnatal or Active Birth or complete all modules to gain 150hrs of Specialised Women’s Health Yoga Teacher Training
- Pregnancy Yoga and Active Birth Teacher Training 100 hrs
- Postnatal and Baby Yoga Teacher Training 50 hrs
The program is delivered via a flexible blended learning approach (weekend intensives ‘in-studio or live-streamed’ and an online learning hub).
Pre-qualifications
Yoga Teacher Certification (Minimum 200 hours). This 150-hour teacher training certification alone does not qualify you to teach pregnancy yoga classes if you are not already a qualified yoga teacher. If you plan on teaching pregnancy yoga classes you can join the 2027 Yogababy Teacher Training (350hrs) to complete both Yoga Foundations (200hr) and the Pregnancy, Active Birth and Baby (150hrs).
