200 Hour Classical Yoga Teacher Training
Param Yoga brings to Australian shores the first-of-its-kind, Indian government-recognised Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) program, backed by the Ministry of AYUSH and delivered under the Yoga Certification Board (YCB) framework.
This isn’t just another YTT. It’s a nationally standardised, authentic, and globally respected certification pathway that includes:
- Classical Yoga Philosophy: Study Patanjali Yoga Sutras, Bhagavad Gita, and Hatha Yoga texts through an authentic lens.
- Integrated Practice: Go beyond asana to master pranayama, dharana (concentration), and kriyas.
- Ayurveda & Sanskrit: Learn foundational Ayurvedic concepts and Sanskrit pronunciation—often absent from other programs.
- Cultural Context: Understand yoga as a holistic lifestyle and spiritual path, not just a fitness routine.
- Official Certification: Become a certified Yoga Protocol Instructor (Level 1), with the option to progress to Level 2 and 3 for advanced teaching roles.
The course focuses on the Common Yoga Protocol, a structured sequence of yogic practices that promote physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing. Participants are trained in both practical techniques and the theoretical foundations of yoga, including:
- Key yogic principles and philosophy
- Basic asanas (postures), pranayama (breath control), and meditation techniques
- Knowledge of traditional yoga texts
- Understanding the preventive and promotive health benefits of yoga
The YPI Level 1 course not only builds technical knowledge but also helps participants develop essential personal qualities of a good yoga teacher, such as:
- Discipline and consistency in practice
- Empathy and sensitivity towards others
- Strong communication skills
- Awareness of body and mind connection
