Each session of this course will open the seekers heart-minds to the wonders of Vedanta. We will be entertained, touched and awestruck by the enlightened saints and sages of Vedanta.
We will dive into the core tenets of Vedanta and explore how they can assist our awakening, how they fit with and differ from the Yogic path. Key topics covered are Self-Enquiry, The Upanishads, The Mahavakyas, Sadhana Chatushtaya and how they can lead us into the vast ocean of Brahman.
One of the highlights of the course will be getting to know the sages of Vedanta. We will spend time with Ramana Maharishi, Shankaracharya, Sri Ramakrishna and Swami Vivekananda and revel in their strength and wisdom.
Each session includes a Meditation or Self enquiry (Atma Vichara). These techniques have been transformative in my spiritual quest, they have reconfigured, cleared and reoriented this mind in ways I would have never considered. Vedanta was and is a powerful source in my awakening. The depth and breadth of the three schools of Vedanta led me down paths to deeper understanding and down paths which caused the mind to shed misperceptions like a snake sheds its old skin.
This course content will consist of slides, quotes and a quiz to consolidate the content. Hanuman Das will share his favourite Books on Vedanta and some current teachers and their details and podcast information.
Also available are meditation reflection and journal pages which are highly beneficial for feeling into and unpacking the meditations and course contents.
