The popularity of yin yoga has grown exponentially in recent years. And yet, yin yoga is not always well understood, and is often confused with Restorative Yoga.
This short course provides an overview of the benefits, purposes and intentions of yin yoga that make this practice unique. The content includes articles, a short video, and brief insights from some of the earliest and most influential yin yoga teachers.
Take your time to engage with the content. You may wish to read or re-read lessons immediately after attending a yin yoga class, enabling you to reflect on how the principles have been integrated and on your experience of the benefits. You might also like to keep a reflective journal to note your experiences as you engage with the material.
