Biography

Bio

Adele has a PhD in neuroscience, multiple yoga qualifications and is an author. Her first children’s yoga storybook, Butterflies Be Gone, is for overcoming fear and anxiety. It’s co-authored by Loraine Rushton of Zenergy Yoga. Their second yoga storybook, Shout It Out, is for emotional expression and resilience. Their third children’s book, Unstoppable, is for ADHD and will be released in early 2026. Yoga For Good Foundation is a proud supporter of all 3 books, as well as Adele’s series of Tiny Yoga Books, to be released in late 2025. Thanks, YFG!

Adele appears regularly on podcasts and has presented to medical forums, including to the Australian College of Chiropractic Paediatrics and the Australasian Institute of Chiropractic Education.

Adele is on the boards of not-for-profit organisations, The Yoga Solution, Yoga For Good Foundation and the Ryoho Association.

Adele is a co-leader of Kids Yoga Training courses with Zenergy Yoga. She is experienced in teaching Japanese yoga therapy, Krishnamacharya hatha, Satyananda hatha and children’s yoga therapy (Zenergy Yoga). Most recently, Adele is a graduate of Ryoho Wellness and was privileged to train with master teacher, Andzej Gospodarczyk.

Adele’s main style of yoga is now Ryoho — a way of life that includes Japanese meridian-based yoga therapy, a balanced, wholefoods macrobiotic diet, mindful living and a lifestyle that promotes internal and external harmony.

Adele is experienced at adapting yoga to suit people of all ages, from babies to seniors. Adele has taught in studios, kindergartens, schools, childcare centres, the corporate sector, community classes, online and outside. She brings a wealth of experience from science, yoga, energy medicine and life experience to all her offerings, whether online or in person.

Previously, Adele was a neuroscientist researching the fascinating topics of Alzheimer’s disease, neuroregeneration, neuroimmunology and nervous system development. She lectured in molecular biology, biochemistry, human biology and neuroscience.

With a life-long love of learning, Adele is a sponge for anything to do with 5-element theory, traditional Chinese medicine, face diagnosis, Ayurveda, meridians, ancient yogic and Vedic scriptures, neuroscience, meditation and consciousness. But nothing moves her quite as much as seeing the light shining in people’s eyes when yoga brings them back in touch with their own heart.

Adele lives in Hobart with her partner, 2 teen boys and 2 rapscallion cats. She loves to go bushwalking, play flute, practice Japanese sumi-e (ink brush painting) and write books whenever the inspiration strikes.
