My Yoga journey began in 1988, practicing under the guidance of Vanessa Shribmann at Coast Yoga (Iyengar) in Adelaide. Ever since experiencing the joy and ease yoga invokes, I have been a dedicated practitioner to this day. I completed my first yoga teacher training in 2000 and 2001 whilst living in Denver Colorado through the Denver School of Iyengar Yoga.
I completed 2 years of study at the Colorado Institute of Massage Therapy, including Anatomy & Physiology, Swedish, Trigger Point, Reflexology and Myofascial Massage techniques, together with postural alignment. I practiced as a Massage Therapist in Denver, Colorado and Forster, Australia for 18 years, working with Physiotherapists, Chiropractors and Osteopaths.
Upon moving to Australia I completed a 1 year Diploma of Yoga Teaching with IYTA and Level 1 Yoga Teacher Training with Byron Yoga Centre. I have also studied under Donna Farhi and Lisa Peterson.
I now combine my 18 years of Massage Therapy and 35 years of Yoga Practice and Training to teach small group and private classes at my purpose built studio on the mid north coast of NSW – Port Macquarie, land of the Birpai people. I love to help people breathe and move more effortlessly in their bodies, and to find joy in the moment.
“Every person is a world to explore.”
