Julie Jamieson, or more affectionately known as Jules, is a passionate mental health advocate and casual freelance yoga teacher based on the Mid North Coast of NSW. Jules has been working in the mental health industry for over ten years and is the current head of Community Engagement at headspace Port Macquarie (Youth Mental Health Foundation).
Jules discovered yoga over two decades ago when living and working in the USA. She recognised early on the positive impact it had not only on her physical health, but her mental health and wellbeing. Inspired by her experience and wishing to share her knowledge, Jules completed her yoga teacher qualification five years ago at My Health Yoga.
Using her skills in mental health, and trauma-informed practice, Jules teaches a variety of classes to all ages and genders from beginner to intermediate focusing on mindfulness and connecting movement to breath. She runs private and small classes through to main stage large-scale events and retreats, and can tailor a session to your individual or business needs.
As an industry expert, Jules offers inclusive wellbeing workshops to schools, businesses and larger corporations and is a competent public speaker who can be booked as a keynote speaker or event emcee.
