Biography
| Bio | My journey in Australia began in 1972, and since then I have devoted my life to the study, practice, and teaching of holistic, classical Yoga in ways that are accessible to all. Over decades of learning, teaching, and travel, I have woven together Yoga, Meditation, and Ayurveda into a living practice that supports natural wellness, inner harmony, and conscious living. I have been deeply influenced by my Indian family and the Ramakrishna Order of monks and nuns, who initiated me into Advaita Vedanta and shaped my lifelong exploration of the “yoga of life.” Alongside these teachings, the wisdom of Ayurveda and Theravada Buddhism continues to inform my work, integrating mindful lifestyle choices, nature-based healing, and inner transformation. I am the founder of Shanti Yoga™ and an internationally recognised, nationally accredited organisation encompassing Yoga, Meditation, Ayurveda, culture, and dance. At the heart of my teaching is direct transmission, meeting students in the present moment through body, breath, voice, and mind supporting them to discover their own true nature. It is a privilege to guide individuals and groups through traditional healing and self discovery practices, including Yoga, Meditation, Ayurveda, and the expressive arts of Indian music and dance. My work is offered with gratitude, humility, and a deep commitment to sharing timeless wisdom in a way that is inclusive, relevant, and compassionate. |
