350hr Jala Yoga Teacher Training

$9,500
Description

This is a 350-hour trauma-informed yoga teacher training for people who want to teach safely and skillfully with real students, in real settings. It is grounded in evidence, ethics, and clinical application, and it draws together yoga, allied health, and neuroscience.

The training is designed for yoga teachers, counsellors, and allied health professionals – psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, paramedics, disability and mental health workers – who want clinical depth and ethical scope beyond a standard 200-hour qualification.

Trauma-informed and neuro-affirming practice is not a single weekend module added at the end. It is built into how sessions are structured, how assessments are run, and how students are supported. Safety, choice, and agency are present throughout, not added in. First Nations perspectives, anti-oppressive practice, and cultural humility are treated as ongoing reflective work, not a checkbox.

The curriculum integrates traditional Hatha and Ashtanga Vinyasa with contemporary movement science, nervous system regulation, evidence-informed stress physiology, neurodivergent-affirming teaching, adaptive yoga, and professional ethics.

Students learn how to teach Yin Yoga (TCM lens), Chair and Adaptive Yoga, Pre- and Post-natal Yoga, Trauma-Informed Yoga, Disability-Inclusive Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga, Hatha Yoga, and Restorative Yoga.

Every guest educator is a practicing clinician in their field — including psychology, physiotherapy, exercise physiology, social work, counselling, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurveda, women’s health, and First Nations education. We include business mentorship and marketing support for trainees as part of our program.

All students also complete Standard Mental Health First Aid certification through MHFA Australia as part of the training.

Delivery is hybrid. One weekend a month runs online via Zoom. The other is in-person on the Gold Coast, with full remote access for students anywhere in Australia. Live sessions are recorded for replay to support flexible, multi-modal learning and accessibility for students who cannot attend live weekends due to life circumstances.

Cohorts are kept small, with individualised feedback and ongoing mentorship and support beyond graduation.

Accredited with Yoga Australia and Yoga Alliance (Australia & International). The 2027 intake runs from 9 January to 31 October 2027. All five previous intakes have sold out.
