- Yoga teachers or practitioners, who want to connect with Sanskrit in a practical, meaningful and friendly way
- Complete beginners are welcome – no prior knowledge of Sanskrit or other languages required

Workshop details
- Format: Live online via Zoom (not recorded)
- Dates: November 29 and 30
- Duration: Two sessions, each 2 hours
- Facilitator: Julian Singh (a Certified Yoga Teacher, and 2 years formal Sanskrit study)
- Bring: A notebook and pen/pencil. Materials will be shared during the class.
What you’ll learn
- The history and significance of Sanskrit in yoga traditions
- Introduction to the Devanagari script and alphabet
- Key pronunciation cues
- Common yoga terms – their meaning, roots, and pronunciation
- Guided writing practice of Devanagari
- Suggestions and resources for further exploration
This workshop will run 3-5pm on both 29 Nov and 30 Nov, for a total of 4 hours.
The fee for YA members is $76, for non-YA members it is $95.
