Estefi Maiztegui is a Registered Level 3/Senior Yoga Teacher and qualified Trainer and Assessor with a deep commitment to education, learning design, and the professional development of yoga teachers in Australia.

With a background in education, Estefi’s foundation in education spans decades and multiple countries. She has since built on this with a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, a Dual Diploma of Vocational Education and Training and Training Design & Development, and a Diploma of Leadership and Management. This formal expertise in learning design informs everything she does, from how she structures a yoga class to how she develops curriculum for teacher training programs.

Estefi has worked as a Learning Designer and Trainer and Assessor across several Australian RTOs, including the Australian Learning Group, Open Colleges and Byron Yoga Centre, where she has designed and delivered nationally recognised yoga teacher training qualifications. She is currently a Director of the Yoga Australia board and a member of the Yoga Australia Teacher Training Standards & Education Working Group, contributing to the ongoing development of industry standards across the country.

A yoga practitioner since the late 2000s and a certified teacher since 2010, Estefi has taught students and trained teachers across Australia, India, Thailand, and beyond. She brings a trauma-sensitive, inclusive and philosophically grounded approach to her teaching, integrating breathing techniques (pranayama), meditation and yogic philosophy into all of her work.

Estefi is also the co-director of Yoga Training Resources, a business she co-founded with colleague Liz Bell to support the professional development of yoga teachers.
